122 High Street, Burford, Oxfordshire has been an independent book shop for over 20 years and I am very excited that it has now been passed into my hands.  I started my career in publishing, working for Blackwells of Oxford and have worked here in Burford for the last five years.

I am not sure starting a business in the midst of a pandemic was part of the plan but books were always the plan.

Although we have a new logo and a shiny new coat of paint it is our intention to continue the tradition of providing an excellent personalised service for all our customers, both local and global.

We will have stock of the latest releases but more than that, we are here help you find books that may otherwise lay undiscovered by an algorithm.  We are real people and know our books & can offer insight and guidance to help you source what you really need and maybe the occasional book you don't need but you will really love.
